Why not run a CLOTHING DRIVE with your business, church group or community organization?  Does your son/daughter's school or sports team need to perform community service hours?  Invite your family, friends and neighbors to join in!

Please contact our office at your earliest convenience so that we may prioritize your request.  Tax receipts are provided for all donations.

Who We Are…
A separate 501[c] 3 organization, the Big Sisters Fund, which operates the Donation Center, was established in 1997 by Big Sisters of Rhode Island to provide a revenue stream for the mentoring agency. We serve Rhode Island and Southeastern Connecticut and provide convenient home pick-up and tax receipts for our generous donors.

What We Do…
Your donations translate into proceeds for Big Sisters of Rhode Island, as donated goods are sold to the Savers stores. Those proceeds come back to the Agency to support Mentoring Programs and activities for young women in our state.

** Particular emphasis on winter clothing (men's/women's/children's - any size or season - including outerwear, shoes and purses), cloth of any kind (sheets, linens, blankets, comforters, afghans, curtains, etc.) & small household items**

Where to Donate…
We Can Come to You or You Can Visit Us!

You can donate clothes and household items from the comfort of your own home. You don't even need to be there when the driver arrives! Simply call 401-464-6500 or 1-877-7-CLOTHES (1.877.725.6843) for convenient pick-ups!

Donations may be dropped off at 40 Webb Street, Cranston, RI 02920. We've moved and our new location is more convenient than ever with better parking and no stairs! For the protection of your donated items, please refrain from weekend drop-offs.

To organize a clothing drive...

Have a representative from your business, organization or community group contact the Donation Center prior to starting your drive. We will assist you in scheduling a pick-up date, organizing the collection of the items and distributing the tax receipts. We schedule pick-ups at least 10 days in advance. Please review the Clothing Drive Flyer for more information and helpful instructions.

When to call…
Our extended summer hours (effective May 1st) are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.   We are closed on weekends. Please call during our hours of operation to arrange for convenient pick-up of your donated goods. Tax receipts are gladly provided.

*As a rule we can pick up small furniture pieces as long as one man can carry it. This can be scheduled like an ordinary pick-up. Check out What to Donate for a comprehensive list of what we can and cannot accept.
